Day Trip to the Jungfraujoch 8.30 am

A trip to the world of the Jungfraujoch – the UNESCO World Heritage site in the Swiss Alps.

This escorted coach tour takes you from Zurich into the Alpine world of the Bernese Oberland. After a short stop in Interlaken against a backdrop of the majestic mountain massif of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the journey continues with the modern cog railway from Lauterbrunnen through idyllic scenery, and past the spectacular, world-famous Eiger North Face. The next stage of the trip takes you up to the Jungfraujoch – the highest train station in Europe at 3,454m (11,332ft) above sea level.

Here you can visit the Ice Palace, the “Alpine Sensation” adventure trail, or the souvenir store. The breathtaking views from the Sphinx observation terrace over the Aletsch Glacier are simply stunning. Hungry visitors also have several restaurants to choose from. The trip back down into the valley by the cable car "Eiger Express" takes you to Grindelwald, where the coach is waiting for the return to Zurich.
